Automatic dog feeder for two dogs

Both Producan feeder models have a double version: two facing outlets that dispense from the same 15 kg hopper, so both dogs eat at once, each on their own side and at the same time. With two large dogs, a full hopper lasts around two weeks.

Why two outlets and not two feeders?

Because the problem with two dogs isn't the amount of food, it's the order. With a single outlet, the dominant dog eats first and the other waits; and if one eats faster too, it ends up eating part of the other's serving. The two facing outlets dispense at the same time on opposite sides of the unit, so each dog has its own spot from day one.

And compared with buying two feeders: a single hopper gets refilled once, takes up half the space and costs less than two units.

Can you give each dog a different serving?

No. Both outlets share a hopper and a timer, so both give the same serving at the same time. It's the honest limitation of the double model, and it's worth knowing before you buy: if one of the dogs is on a diet or eats a different dry food, what you need is two single feeders, not one double.

How long does it last full with two dogs?

With two large dogs eating half a kilo each, the 15 kg hopper lasts around two weeks. With two medium dogs, close to three and a half weeks. The double version weighs 13 kg empty against the single's 10 kg, and it's the same size: 30 × 34 × 70 cm.

Which model should I choose?

The double version exists for both, so the question is the usual one: if there's a socket nearby, the Producan P1; if there isn't one, the Producan P3 with its 12 V battery. On each product page you choose «For 2 dogs» before adding it to the basket.
