They're two figures and each one says something different. The 6<\/strong> is total protection against dust: nothing gets in, not even fine dust. The 5<\/strong> is resistance to water jets from any direction. It's not meant to sit in a permanent puddle or be submerged, but that's not something that happens to anyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n No, because it never reaches it. The hopper is sealed and the top lid fits over it, so water runs off the outside. That's why it's used on fences, greenhouses and outdoor furniture, and why the Producan feeders that have spent six years on smallholdings on the Galician coast are still intact.
